All pension files in these volumes concern the surname Gann. Names of soldiers/veterans are coordinated with those in the Gann Registry. Each pension is transcribed exactly from the original, including spellings. These accounts contain much information about the veteran. About 118 Gann men and women are named in these files, including widows. Not all applications for a pension were accepted but even those denied contain a wealth of personal information. The originals of these pension files are housed at the National Archives, in Washington, DC. The price is $20.00 per volume, plus $5.00 shipping.
