| Gann Family Historical Society was founded in 1989 by a small group of Gann descendants. It grew to a much larger membership, and in 1996 the Gann Historical Society & Library, Inc., was formed, and the activities continued under that organization. | ||||||||||
| We now have some 300 active membership, some of which are
family membership (including more than one person). We have an annual meeting, where members renew old friendships, make new friendships, and attend meetings and lectures. Some of the meeting locations were Johnson City, Tennessee; Kansas City, Missouri; Knoxville, Tennessee; Irving, Texas; Winston-Salem, North Carolina; Tulsa, Oklahoma; Hot Springs, Arkansas; Atlanta, Georgia; Denver, Colorado; Roanoke, Virginia; Lubbock, Texas; and Tulsa, OK.
Our 2004 meeting was in Missouri at The Lake of the Ozarks. |

| In addition, the organization publishes The Registry, a database. Our database contains family information on more than 50,000 individuals. Perhaps your ancestors are among these. The Registry, published on computer disk, is available to our members at a nominal cost. | ||||||||||
| Members receive a quarterly publication, The Gann Gazette. It typically includes 24 pages per issue, packed with interesting articles and family information submitted by the membership.
